A novel powder metallurgy composite material achieves synergistic enhancement in both strength and corrosion resistance. The associated process optimisation scheme has completed laboratory validation, offering a new option for high-end equipment manufacturing.

Progress Achieved in the Development of Novel Powder Metallurgy Composite Materials

Recently, the R&D project of new composite materials in the field of powder metallurgy has achieved phased results. The R&D team successfully prepared composite materials with both high strength and excellent corrosion resistance by optimizing powder ratio and sintering process. This material solves the problem of insufficient performance of traditional powder metallurgy products under complex working conditions. Tests show that its mechanical strength is significantly improved compared with conventional materials, and its acid and alkali corrosion resistance also meets the standards for high-end industrial applications. With the advantages of near-net shaping and high material utilization rate, powder metallurgy technology has been widely used in machinery manufacturing, automotive industry and other fields. The R&D of this new composite material further expands the application boundary of powder metallurgy technology, and can adapt to the manufacturing needs of key components such as high-end transmission parts and precision structural parts. In the future, the R&D team will continue to promote pilot-scale conversion work, promote the application of this material in more industrial scenarios, and help the lightweight and high-performance upgrading of the equipment manufacturing field.
